Deutsch: Da ich derzeit die fünfte Staffel von Mission: Impossible (in Deutschland: Kobra, übernehmen sie!) schaue und die Serie super finde, musste nach langer Zeit mal wieder eine Signatur zu einem Film/einer Serie her. Das Hintergrundbild ist ein Werbefoto zur fünften Staffel, über das ich einen leichten Film Grain-Filter gelegt habe. Für "Bagdadsoftware" kam die kostenlose Schriftart "Another Typewriter" zum Einsatz. Für "Sicarius" hingegen "Gunplay". Beide Layer wurden zudem mit einem leichten Drop Shadow versehen. Ursprünglich war ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt fertig mit dem Bild. Die Fokusgruppe forderte jedoch, dass ich mein Gesicht einbaue. Der Rest war eine Sache der Farbanpassung und des richtigen Einsatzes des Radiergummis. English: Since I'm currently watching the 5th season of Mission: Impossible and I'm really liking the series, I just had to do a signature based on a film/a tv-series again after so many games-based pictures. The background is an advertising picture for the 5th season which I used a light film grain on. The "Bagdadsoftware" is written with the free font "Another Typewriter", for "Sicarius" I instead used "Gunplay". Both text layer then received a small Drop Shadow. Initial the picture was done at this point but the focus group insisted that I include a picture of me. The rest was just a matter of changing the colors of my face and using the eraser to make it fit. 
Deutsch: Nachdem ich für GamersGlobal eine umfangreiche Artikelserie über Speedruns verfasst hatte - zu dem auch ein Interview über einen Deus-Ex-Speedrun gehörte -, musste ich einfach wieder Deus Ex spielen und ihm eine Signatur gönnen. Der Hintergrund besteht aus zwei Teilen des offiziellen Covers. Eigentlich schaut JC Denton nach oben in Richtung des Deus-Ex-Symbols. Aber da meine Signaturen breit und nicht hoch sind, musste ich beide Teile nebeneinander positionieren. Für die Schrift habe ich dann eine inoffizielle Variante von Deus Ex 3 namens "Denton" verwendet. Ein "Outer Glow" (weiß), "Gradient Overlay" (schwarz/weiß) und "Level and Emboss" (default) dazu und fertig war das Ergebnis. English: After writing my big special about Speedruns for GamersGlobal - for which I also did an interview about a Deus-Ex-Speedrun -. I just had to play Deus Ex again and give it the honor of a signature. The background consists of two parts from the official cover. Originally JC Denton looks up to the Deus-Ex-symbol. But since my signatures are more wide than high, I had to position them side by side. For the text I used an inofficial font from the upcoming Deus Ex 3 called "Denton". For the final touch I activated "Outer Glow" (white), "Gradient Overlay" (black/white) and "Level and Emboss" (default) on the text-layers. 
Deutsch: Da mir mein erstes Signaturbild zu Quake Live bei genauerer Betrachtung zu normal aussah, habe ich mich gleich nach der Fertigstellung noch einmal hingesetzt und diese hier geschaffen. Es hat zwar länger gedauert, aber das Ergebnis lässt sich definitiv sehen. 
Deutsch: Quake Live ist schon in der Beta besser als Quake 3 Arena. Grund genug es dafür mit einer Signatur zu würdigen. Dies war die erste Version. Da ich mit dem Ergebnis nicht ganz zu frieden war, habe ich noch einmal von vorne angefangen und ein zweites Bild angefertigt. 
Deutsch: Auf der Suche nach der Grundlage für ein neues Signaturbild ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich weder zu Darwinia noch zu Multiwinia: Survival of the Flattest bislang eines angefertigt hatte. Das musste ich natürlich sofort ändern. 
Deutsch: Ursprünglich sollte es eine Signatur zu Prince of Persia oder Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer werden. Dann ist mir jedoch eingefallen, dass ich auch The Dark Knight richtig gut fand. Was ist da passender als ihn zum DVD-Release also mit einer Signatur zu würdigen? 
Deutsch: "War. War never changes." - ein ikonischer Satz, der mir irgendwie in letzter Zeit dauernd im Kopf rumhängt. Dabei bin ich nicht einmal ein so großer Fallout-Fanboy. Wie es aber nun der Zufall wollte, passte der Satz irgendwie zu dem Bildausschnitt, den ich mir aus meinem Garry's Mod-Bild. Dann ging eigentlich alles ziemlich fix. Zuerst habe ich mit dem "Magnetic Lasso Tool" die Shotgun ausgeschnitten, den Ausschnitt zu einer Maske konvertiert und dann die Adobe Photoshop CS 4 Exposure Plus 1.0-Vorlage darauf angewendet. Nun noch die Schriftart "Freestyle Script" ausgewählt, die Layer mit Drop Shadow versehen und den Text in ein mittleres Rot getaucht. Simpel, effektiv und 100% selbst gemacht :). English: "War. War never changes." - A rather iconic sentence, which I just can't get out of my head even though I'm not really that big of a Fallout-fanboy. But as fortune has it, it fit the part of the picture perfectly which I cut out of my Garry's Mod-picture. After that everything else was easy going. I cut out the shotgun with the Magnetic Lasso Tool, transformed it to a mask and applied the Adobe Photoshop CS4 exposure Plus 1.0 preset to it. Then I chose the font "Freestyle Script" and added a "Drop Shadow" to both layers. The last step was coloring in a not so bright red tone. Simple, effective and 100% done by myself. 
Deutsch: Es war mal wieder Zeit für eine neue Signatur. Leider waren die umsetzbaren Ideen nicht gerade zahlreich, aber am Ende habe ich mich für Race Driver: GRID als Vorlage entschieden. Verdient hatte es das alle mal. Der Hintergrund besteht aus dem oberen Teil des offiziellen Logos und einem kleinen Teil des offiziellen Covers. Damit der Bruch nicht allzusehr auffällt, haben sich beide überlappt und ich habe mit dem Radiergummi wahllos hier und dort etwas entfernt. English: It was again time for another signature. Sadly I didn't have many ideas I could realise, but in the end I settled for Race Driver: GRID. It's as worthy as everything else anyway. 
Deutsch: Anlässlich des Jubiläums zum 500. Eintrag, musste natürlich auch eine Signatur her. So ein Event kann einfach nicht ohne bleiben. Als Inspiration und Hintergrund diente mir das Cover von Advent Rising. Die Symbolik dahinter dürft ihr euch selbst zuasmmenreimen :). Den Ausschnitt habe ich dann noch mit einem "Glass"-Filter versehen, um ihm einen etwas feurigeren Eindruck zu verpassen. Dann folgte die bekannte Bagdadsoftware-CD und die beiden Schriftzüge in der "geheimen" Bagdadsoftware-Schriftart. Zum Abschluß wurden die Layer noch mit "Drop Shadow", "Gradient Overlay" in den Bagdadsoftware-Farben und einem "Inner Glow" versehen. Voilá - fertig war die Signatur. As inspiration and for the background I used the cover of Advent Rising. You can figure out yourself what the symbolism behind this is :). I then applied a "Glass"-filter upon the cutout to give it a more fiery look. After that is the well-known Bagdadsoftware-CD and the two font layers in the "secret" Bagdadsoftware-font. To finish the picture up, "Drop Shadow", "Gradient Overlay" in the usual Bagdadsoftware-colors and "Inner Glow" were applied to the font layers. And voilá - finished was the signature. 
Deutsch: Die Veröffentlichung des letzten Buches des Wüstenplanetzykluses "Die Erlöser des Wüstenplaneten", entfachte meine Leidenschaft für das Universum, und besonders für die PC Spiele dazu, neu. Dem trage ich nun mit einer Signatur zu Dune 2000 Rechnung. 
Deutsch: Zum Release von TrackMania United Forever, musste ich einfach diesem genialen Arcaderacer ein Denkmal setzen. Zu Beginn hatte ich mich am Cover von TrackMania United orientiert aber ich bekam einfach keine anständigen Hintergrundlayer für "Sicarius" hin. Deswegen habe ich mich umentschieden und die amerikanische Box von TrackMania Sunrise als Vorlage genommen. Das ist auch wesentlich einfacher. English: Because of the release of TrackMania United Forever I just had to make a signature for this awesome racing game. At the beginning I wanted to use the cover of TrackMania United for inspiration but I couldn't make the necessary backgroundlayers for "Sicarius" (still learning :) ). So I decided to use the US front cover of TrackMania Sunrise instead - which is much easier. 
Deutsch: Sins of a Solar Empire ist DER Geheimtipp für Strategen, die Spiele wie Civilization lieben. Zwar mag ich Civilization nicht wirklich aber einem guten 4X-Spiel kann ich trotzdem nicht widerstehen. 
Deutsch: Okay, die Guitar Hero III-Signatur war unterirdischer Müll. Ich gebe es zu! Deshalb wurde gleich eine neue Signatur hinterhergeschoben und zwar zu Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa. Zur Verwendung kamen das offizielle Logo (eingescannt von der GameCard) und die offiziellen Ingame-Schriftarten Conduit ITC Light und EurostileTRRegExt (liegen beide offen unter \data\misc). Die Logos unter dem Logo sind aus der Übersicht von LogosAtlas.com und der Hintergrund dann schwarz eingefärbt. Die Bedeutung gebe ich allerdings nicht Preis - das müsst ihr schon selbst herausfinden. As the basic I used a scan of the GameTimeCard included in the Collector's Edition featuring the official logo of the game. The fonts are the official ingame ones called Conduit ITC Light und EurostileTRRegExt (both can be found under \data\misc in the TR-folder). The two Logos are from the overview on LogosAtlas.com I only made the background black. As always I won't tell you what they mean - you'll have to find out on your own.
Deutsch: Da ich Guitar Hero III - Legends of Rock wie ein Blöder zocke und es schliesslich auch mein persönliches Spiel des Jahres 2007 ist, musste natürlich eine Signatur her. Eine offizielle Schriftart scheint es nicht zu geben aber in diversen Foren wird man auf "Gargoyles" verwiesen, die hier auch zum Einsatz kommt. Das Problem der Schriftart ist allerdings, dass sie sehr verpixelt (was man leider auch sieht) und dass die Buchstaben innen hohl sind. Das ist aber kein Problem. Ich habe die Schrift einfach größer gemacht, die Farbe auf Schwarz geändert und die Innereinen mit dem Farbeimer weiß gefärbt. Da die ganze Sache allerdings dann etwas zu flach wirkt, wurde noch ein sanftes "Inner Emboss" drübergelegt. Der Hintergrund ist ein Nahaufnahme eines Feuers mit einem Hauch von Film Grain Filter darüber. Ich gebe zu, dass ich nicht 100% zufrieden bin mit dem Ergebnis. Im Vergleich zu den letzten Bildern wirkt sie doch etwas billig aber ich konnte aus der Schriftart einfach nicht mehr rausholen. Since an official font doesn't seem to exist, I used a font called "Gargoyle" instead. But the problem with that font is, that it pixelates too much (which you can sadly see very well) and that the letters are hollow. I fixed that by making the letters bigger and filling them with white with the help of my trusty color-bucket. But the whole thing still looked too flat so I applied a little bit of "Inner Emboss". The background is a closeup of a fire with a slight touch of the Film Grain-filter. I admit that I'm not really satisfied with the outcome. Compared to the other pictures it just seems cheap but I couldn't get any more out of that font. 
Deutsch: Da Portal doch schon wieder ein paar Tage auf dem Buckel hatte und mir The Witcher äußerst gut gefällt (besonders der Grafikstil), hatte ich es dieses Mal vorgezogen. Die offizielle Schriftart (Mason Serif Regular) ist zwar erhältlich aber kostenpflichtig. Stattdessen habe ich auf Morpheus und Dark 11 zurückgegriffen. Das Wolfsmedallion stammt von der Rückseite des Artbooks (liegt der Limited Edition bei). Der Rest ist, wie so oft, nicht weiter schwer und bedarf keiner weiteren Erklärung. English: Since the release of Portal was already a few days back and I really loved (still do of course) The Witcher, I decided to skip Portal and make the next signature based on The Witcher. Also the official font (Mason Serif Regular) is available, I didn't use it because they want an insane amount of money for it. Instead I settled for Morpheus and Dark 11. The picture on the left is the wolf medallion of Geralt and is a scan from the back of the official artbook (part of the Limied Edition release). I don't think I need to explain more, since putting the picture together wasn't that hard. 
Deutsch: In Vorbereitung auf Clive Barker's Jericho, hatte ich mir vorgenommen endlich Clive Barker's Undying durchzuspielen und mit diesem Bild drücke ich, wie so oft mit meinen Signaturen, meine Begeisterung für dieses Spiel aus. Als Vorlage diente die "bastardisierte" Fassung des Portraits der Familie Covenant (offizielles Wallpaper zum Spiel). Die Schriftarten sind die offiziellen, da diese dem Spiel indirekt beiliegen. Ansonsten habe ich dieses Mal ein wenig mit dem Farbeimer gespielt und so versucht zumindest den farblichen Look des Originallogos hinzubekommen. Da es mir nicht gelungen ist auch die Runenverzierung zu kopieren, habe ich der Schrift stattdessen ein fleischiges Inneres verpasst um das morbide Ambiente zu vervollständigen. English: To prepare for the release of Clive Barker's Jericho, I finally decided to play through Clive Barker's Undying and with this signature I show how awesome I found the game. The basis is a morbid version of the Covenant familypicture (an official wallpaper for the game). The fonts used are als official since you can easily extract them from the game. Besides that I played a little with the color-bucket in order to match the look of the original. Since I couldn't copy the extravagant Runes, I instead gave the whole lettering fleshy look in order to make the whole morbid look of the picture complete. 
Deutsch: Ich mache viel zu wenig Signaturen zu Spielen von id Software. Um den entgegen zu wirken, musste natürlich passenderweise eine Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Signatur her. English: I'm not making enough signatures to games from id Software. In order to even the odds a bit I had to make one for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
Benutzt wurde zwar nicht die offizielle Schriftart der Verpackung aber trotzdem ist es eine der "offiziellen" Schriften, die mir freundlicherweise von Matthias Hofmann (Anvil-Soft) zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Ansonsten besteht das Bild aus je zwei Bild- und Textlayern. Das Loch wurde von mir aus einem Scan des Covers ausgeschnitten und dann mit dem Radiergummi der Hintergrund (ein Screenshot der Klomanagerstadtkarte) sichtbar gemacht. Also wie immer ein billiger Trick. English: Since I had bothered the guys from Anvil-Soft a lot because of MobyGames and at the same time were again constantly playing the game, I decided reward it with a signature. Also I couldn't use the official font from the cover, Matthias Hoffmann from Anvil-Soft was so nice to give me access to some of the other fonts used in the game. Besides that the image consists of two seperate picture- and text-layers. I cut out the hole from a scan of the cover and with the help of the eraser, I made the background visible which is a screenshot of the ingame-map. A simple trick. 
Deutsch: Wieder einmal hatte eine Konsolenportierung die Ehre sich in einer meiner Signaturen wiederzufinden. Aber wer könnte schon der schönen Ada widerstehen (ausgenommen Spieler, die schon zum 10.000mal beim Kampf gegen Krauser mit ihr sterben)? Ansonsten ist die Sig äußert einfach gemacht: Die inoffizielle Schriftart von Resident Evil, ein Teil des offiziellen Covers und ein schönes Artwork von Ada -> Fertig. English: Again I honor a console port by making a signature about it. But who can resist the beautiful Ada (except players that die for the 10.000 time in the fight against Krauser). The image is pretty simple: The inofficial font of Resident Evil, a part of the official cover and a nice artwork of Ada -> Finished. Deutsch: Nach der erfolgreichen Fusion mit mehreren Konkurrenzgilden in Guild Wars, wurde eine völlig neue Gilde gegegründet und es wurde natürlich auch eine neue Signatur nötig. Tada! English: After the successful merger of several guild in Guild Wars which resulted in a new guild, I needed to make a new signature as well and here it is. 
Deutsch: Da ich im Spiel noch nicht am Reaktor war und ich online keine guten Screenshots gefunden hatte, habe ich für den Hintergrund ein Realbild gewählt. Leider musste ich es etwas strecken aber ich glaube das sieht man nicht so stark. Da es von Seiten GSC Game World bzw. THQ keine offizielle Schritart gibt, wurde als Ersatz "Xray Ted" benutzt und mithilfe des Radiergummis ein eigener, zerfressener Look produziert. English: Since I hadn't been at the reactor at the time and no really good screenshots were available, I used a real picture of the reactor as the background. I had to stretch it a little to fit it in but it shouldn't be that obvious. Since neither GSC Game World nor THQ released the official font, I used "Xray Ted" and used the eraser to get that decayed look. 
Deutsch: Das Spiel Trespasser war dieses Mal der Anlaß des Bildes. Der linke Teil der Signatur ist simpel und in Rekordzeit erstellt, da das Original-Logo allerdings mehr in die Höhe geht, habe ich noch einen Teil eines (geschönten und gestellten) Screenshots aus Trespasser dazu gepackt um die Standardmaße zu erreichen. Damit der Übergang nicht zu abrupt daher kommt, wurden Bissspuren in das Logo eingefügt (passend zu den Velociraptoren). Leider hatte ich mich nicht getraut den Schriftzug anzubeißen. Das hätte dem Bild den finalen Touch gegeben. English: The game Trespasser was the reason for this signature. The left part of the image was easy to make but since the original logo hasn't much a broadness, I added a (fake) screenshot from Trespasser to get the picture up to the normal size. To make the transer between the logo and the screenshot less sudden, I also added bitemarks to the logo (suitable for the Velociraptors). 
Deutsch: Meine persönliche Guild Wars-Signatur. Da es die offizielle Schriftart nirgends gibt und ArenaNet es deutlich gemacht hat, dass sie sowas nicht sehen will, habe ich mich der Schriftart "PR Uncial Alt caps" bedient. Das Hintergrundbild ist ein Screenshot aus dem Charakterauswahlmenü. English: My personal Guild Wars-signature. Since the official font isn't available anywhere and ArenaNet made it clear, that they don't want to see it anywhere, I used "PR Unicial Alt caps". The background is a screenshot out of the "Choose your character"-menu. 
Deutsch: Diese Signatur habe ich für meine Guild Wars-Gilde [GLBA] erstellt. Da es die offizielle Schriftart nirgends gibt und ArenaNet es deutlich gemacht hat, dass sie sowas nicht sehen will, habe ich mich der Schriftart "PR Uncial Alt caps" bedient. Der Hintergrund stammt aus einem offiziellen Wallpaper und wurde mit einem Photoshopfilter versehen. English: I made this signature for my Guild Wars-guild [GLBA]. Since the official font isn't available anywhere and ArenaNet made it clear, that they don't want to see it anywhere, I used "PR Unicial Alt caps". The background is from an official wallpaper which I used a Photoshop-filer on. 
Deutsch: Call of Juarez. Dank der neuen Grafikkarte, hatte ich endlich genug Lust dazu, es durchzuspielen. Da musste natürlich auch eine passende Sig her. Ich finde, dass mir vor allem die Übergänge zwischen Mittelteil und den Bildern rechts und links ganz gut gelungen sind. Über das Aussehen von "Sicarius" kann man sich streiten aber es ist definitiv ein Western-Look. English: Call of Juarez. Thanks to a new graphics card I finally played it through. Reason enough for a new signature. I think that I did good on the breaks between the middle and the pictures on the left and right. Of course it could be better but it can always be better :). The look of "Sicarius" is another story but still the font looks somewhat like it could be used in a western movie or game. 
Das Gothic-Logo nachzumachen war (und ist), zumindest mit meinen beschränkten Photoshop-Kenntnissen, übrigens gar nicht so einfach. Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis aber relativ zufrieden. Und für alle die es interessiert: der Wasserfall im Hintergrund liegt in Gothic 3 bei Faring. English: The game, that everyone was talking about back in October 2006. Naturally I had to make a signature for it. Mimmicing the Gothic-log wasn't (and still isn't) an easy task for me with my limited Photoshop-knowledge but I'm satisfied with the result. And for everyone who want's to know: the waterfall in the background can be found in Gothic 3 near the town Faring. 
Deutsch: Nach meiner Huldigung an Introversion auf Bagdadsoftware, war klar das ich eine Sig zu Uplink machen musste. Dieses Mal hatte ich es wieder relativ einfach, da die offizielle Schriftart (zusammen mit der hervorragenden Musik!) im offiziellen Forum von einem User bereitgestellt wird. Den Hintergrund ist hingegen ein Screenshot von einem der Bilder, dass nach dem Einloggen in Uplink zu sehen sind. English: After my praise of Introversion on Bagdadsoftware, it was obvious that I had to make a signature based on Uplink. This time it was again very easy. I got the official font (togther with the awesome music) from a user on the official forums and the background is a screenshot from one of the pictures that are shortly shown when you log into Uplink. 
Deutsch: Ich war von Devil May Cry 3 SE (fürn PC) so begeistert, dass ich unbedingt eine passende Sig machen musste. Die verwendete Schriftart ist zwar nicht die offizielle, ist eigentlich die von The Crow (der Film), aber kommt dem Original schon sehr nahe. Aber trotz der Mühen hab ich leider das Original nicht wirklich gut nachmachen können (schon allein diese durchgeschnitten Buchstaben warn unmöglich) für sich passt es aber. Der Hintergrund besteht aus zwei zusammengeschnitten Wallpapern. Das war nicht ganz so einfach, da die Wolken im Hintergrund nicht wirklich zusammenpassten. Ich musste also allen meinen Skill aufwenden und den Strich unkenntlich machen. Und ohne in zuviel Eigenlob abzutrifften: Ich habe es sehr gut hinbekommen. Selbst diejenigen, die ich darauf hingewiesen habe, konnten den Schnitt nicht finden. Ich sehe ihn natürlich aber ich habe das Bild ja auch gemacht :). English: I was so thrilled by Devil May Cry 3 SE (for PC) that I was practically forced to do a signature for it. The font isn't the official one but is instead from The Crow (the film) but is a close to the original as possible. Also I tried to mimmic the original cover, I couldn't really do it (the sliced letters were the least of the problem) but if you don't think about that and just see the image for itself, it's good. The background is cut together from two different wallpapers which wasn't a easy task because the clouds in the background didn't match so I had to use all my skill and paint the break over and if you don't mind me saying so: I did great. Noone I asked has ever noticed that there is a distrubtion in the middle of the picture. I, of course, see it but I'm the artist after all :).
Deutsch: 10 Jahre hat es gedauert bis BlueByte endlich begriffen hat, wann sie das letzte richtig gute Siedler-Spiel gemacht haben. Und in ihrer Weisheit haben sie ein Remake dieses Spiels in Angriff genommen und diesem Remake ist dieses Bild gewidmet. Im Nachhinein ist mir das Symbol "II" zu weit auseinander. Die zwei Zeichen hätte ich weiter zusammenführen sollen aber später ist man ja immer schlauer :). English: It took BlueByte 10 years to realize when they made the last good "The Settlers"-game. And in their wisdom they made a remake of that game which this signature is dedicated to. The font used for "Sicarius" is Old English Text and is the official font from the original "The Settlers II"-game. So BlueByte didn't make a special font - just used a preinstalled one. In retrospective I think that the symbol "II" has too much space between the two I's but at the end of a process you are always brighter than before :). 
Deutsch: Das ist ein Sig-Bild für ganz schlaue. Hier ein paar Tipps: Es basiert auf einem Shooter und der Shooter hat ein ganz wichtiges Feature. Dieses Feature kann zu Brechreiz und Seekrankheit führen. English: This image is for the really intelligent. Here are a few tips: It's based on a shooter which has a very integral feature. This feature can also lead to nausea and seasickness. 
Deutsch: Halo² kam nicht vor 2007 auf den PC (bin ja schon froh das es überhaupt fürn PC kam) aber der E32006-Teaser von Halo³ war sooo genial, dass ich einfach wieder eine Halo-Sig machen musste. Sieht natürlich jetzt wesentlich besser aus als die alte (man lernt ja dazu). English: Halo² wasn't due to come out until 2007 for the PC (at least it came out for it after all) but the E32006-teaser of Halo³ was so totally awesome that I just had to make another Halo-image. Of course it looks way better than the old one (even I learn something over time ;) ).
Deutsch: Gab es einen Weg drum herum? Nein, auch für mich war The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion bis zu dieser Sig bereits 45 Nettospielstunden PFLICHT!. Even for me "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" was a must play. Till I made the image I already had pumped in 45 play hours. The making of the game should be self-explanatory except that the fonts used are from Morrowing, not Oblivion :). 
Deutsch: Ist's schon solange her? Mhm. Genau. Nach langer Pause (warum auch immer) habe ich mich mal wieder hingesetzt und eine Signatur anlässlich des Release von Quake 4 gebastelt. Ist mal wieder ein etwas schlichteres Bild aber mit einer komplizierten Message :). English: Has it really been so long? Mmh, yes. After a long pause (don't know why) I finally sat down and made a new signature. This time the upcoming release of Quake IV was the reason which lead to this simple but overcrowded picture with a very complex message :). 
Deutsch: Und mal wieder eine Sig zu einem genialen Spiel (Psychonauts) das aber in der Masse untergegangen ist - vor allem weil der deutsche Release so lange gedauert hat und weil es wie immer sehr, sehr schräg ist. English: And again a signature to a brilliant game (Psychonauts) which sadly didn't get his share of the money - especially since the German release took so lang and the title is very, very unusual. 
Deutsch: Nach viel zu langer Zeit mit dem hässlichen WoW-Bild habe ich mich, wie immer aus aktuellem Anlass, zu einem Wechsel entschieden. Das Bild hat kein richtiges Vorbild (zumindest keines das ich kenne) und soll mehr schwul und funky wirken. So als Versinnbildlichung der Verarbeitung (man muss auch über seine Probleme lachen können) meiner Festplattenproblematik. English: After a too long time with that ugly WoW-signature I decided, as always because of a current event, to make a new one. The image doesn't really have a model (at least none I know of) and is more supposed to just look gay and funky. You can say it is the symbolization of the way I try to deal with my HDD-problems (you should be able to laugh over your own problems). 
Deutsch: Dieses mal wieder Pünktlich gab’s ein neues Sig-Bild - und wie soll’s auch anders sein? - zu World Of WarCraft :). Dieses Sig-Bild wurde bis Level 60 immer wieder mit dem aktuellen Aussehen meines Charakters überschrieben. English: This time on time a new signature and - why should it be any different? - for World of WarCraft :). Until my druid reached level 60 I always updated the image with the current look of my character. 
Deutsch: Mit reichlich Verspätung (musste ja das Game vorher ausgiebig spielen ;) ) hatte ich passend zum finalen, europäischen Betatest von "World Of WarCraft" (an dem ich unerwartet teilnehmen durfte) eine Signatur mit den passenden Infos erstellt. Deshalb ist das auch dieses Mal keine wirklich Meisterleistung sondern einfach nur zweckmäßig. Die fesche Nachtelfe war übrigens Level 30 zum Entstehungszeitpunkt des Bildes (31.01.2005). English: With a lot of delay (after all it was my duty to play the game as much as possible ;) ) I made this signature to celebrate the final, European betatest of "World of WarCraft" (which I unexpectedly was part of) with all the information needed to find me in the game. Because of that this time the image is more functional than goodlooking. The picture was taken on 31.01.2005 and shows my night elf druid at level 30. 
Deutsch: 'Oh mein Gott was soll DAS sein?' - So oder so ähnlich war bestimmt eure Reaktion oder? Schuld an dieser etwas anderen Sig war ein Thread im AreaDVD-Forum. Da wurde das Hello Kitty!-MMORPG vorgestellt und nach dem (Gott hätte ich es sein lassen... :) ) anklicken des enthaltenen Links überkam mich das Grauen. Und da ich ja ein guter Mensch bin, habe ich mit dieser Signatur nun ein Warnzeichen erstellt. English: "Oh my fucking god - what is THAT?" - I guess so or something like that was your first reaction to this image, wasn't it? The blame for it takes a thread on the AreaDVD-forum. A Hello Kitty!-MMORPG was announced there and after I clicked the link (I really should've resisted...) total horror overcame me. And since I'm a good guy, I made this image as a warning to all the others that are tempted to check that game out.
English: Well? That should be easy, shouldn't it? Yes, that's a picture to "Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines". Also the model is from "Redemption" I think it should be obvious by the logo what I meant. And I made the signature way? Well of course because of the release of patch 1.2 and the possibility to now play and enjoy the game. The font isn't the one from the game. Instead I used some other Gothic-like font which also fits the premise of the original. Sadly I forgot to completely blacken the image so now I'm stuck with this very ugly break between the two parts of the signature. 
Deutsch: Nachdem das 'Lord Of The Rings'-Fieber abgeklungen war, konnte ich mich endlich den anderen Games widmen, die ich noch so hier liegen hatte. Darunter war auch das, etwas eigenartige, 'Scrapland'. Ich fand das Game allerdings so gut das ich es, trotz seines 'Offstream'-Charakters (oder vielleicht deshalb?) als Sig-Vorlage gegenüber Blockbustergames wie 'The Chronicles Of Riddick' vorgezogen habe. English: After I had overcome the "Lord of the Rings"-fever, I finally could play some of the game I had still lie around. One of them was the, slightly strange, "Scapland". But I was so fond of the game that, in spite of it's "Offstrem"-character (or perhaps because of it), I used it as a signature-sample instead of a more blockbuster-title like "The Chronicles of Riddick". 
English: The reason behind this stylish picture was to celebrate the release of both the game "The Battle for Middle-Earth" and the Special Extended Edition of "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King". I don't think I need to say more about it - and whoever can decrypt what it says in Tengwarisch at the bottom gets a biscuit :). 
Deutsch: Oh Wunder, Oh Wunder - zum Release der Collector's Edition von Half-Life² und der erfolgreichen Beendung der Suche nach der Half-Life-Schriftart, entstand dieses Bild mit viel Arbeit. Ich habe auf Anraten von Maverick und cjay (zwei Kumpels aus dem Studenten-IRC) mehrere Versionen verworfen (erst schlicht mit weißem Hintergrund, dann mit Rost als Hintergrund etc. pp.) bis ich dann endlich von beiden ein Okay für diese Fassung bekam. Das Bild hat mir Maverick freundlicherweise zur Verfügung gestellt. English: What a miracle, what a mircale - for the release of the Collector's Edition of Half-Life² and the successful completion of my search fr the original Half-Life-font I made this little picture. After consulting with Maverick and cjay (two friends from the student-IRC) I discarded several versions (first one had just a simple white background, then I tried rust and so on...) until I got the okay from both of them for this version. Maverick was so nice to make the background picture available to me. 
Deutsch: Als ich Clever & Smart: A Movie Adventure durchgespielt hatte und dem 'Need For Speed: Underground²'-Wahn verfiel, habe ich einen Screenshot meines Ingame-autos genommen und dieses Sig-Bild erstellt. Das Bild wurde immer geupdated wenn ich äußerlich etwas an meinem Auto verändert hatte. So wie es jetzt ist sah der Wagen dann final im Spiel aus. English: After I had finished Clever & Smart: A Movie Adventure, I got addicted to "Need for Speed: Underground²". So I took a screenshot of my ingame-car and made this signature. The picture was always updated when I changed something on the look of the car. This picture now shows how my car looked like at the end of the game. 
Deutsch: Zum Release des Spiels 'Clever & Smart: A Movie Adventure' habe ich diese schlichte Sig gemacht. Das Prinzip bleibt das alte: Mein Nick in der Schriftart und Form des Comic-Covers inkl. einem passenden Bild von Fred. English: For the release of the Game "Clever & Smart: A Movie Adventure" I made this simple signature. The principal is the same as always: My nick in the official font, imitating the comic-cover and a suitable picture of Fred (don't know what his American name is). 
Deutsch: Man kann es sich denken aber für später und alle N00bs: Dieses Bild wurde anlässig der Veröffentlichung des Episode III-Teasers erstellt. Eigentlich sollte statt der Katze Darth Vader das Ganze schmücken, allerdings stieß ich bei der Google Bildsuche (Keyword 'Darth Vader' mit Filter 'nur Groß' auf das Bild dieser Katze und schon war die Idee von 'Revenge Of Darth Vader's Cat' geboren. Was der Text in Aurek-Besh heißt sag ich nicht :). Das Bild wurde 'improved' von einem Forenmitglied namens Freezi - obwohl ich nicht wirklich en Unterschied zur Original-Fassung sehe (die mittlerweile nicht mehr existiert). Angeblich hat er die Ränder um die Katze entfernt. English: It should be obvious but for later and all the n00bs: This signature was made to celebrate the release of the Episode III-teaser. Originally the picture was supposed to feature Darth Vader but as I searched on Google for a suitable picture of him (Keyword "Darth Vader" and size "Big"), I stumbled upon the picture of this cat - and so the idea of "Revenge of Darth Vader's Cat" was born. I won't tell you what the text in Aurek-Besh means :). The picture was improved by a forum-member called "Freezi" - also I don't really see the difference between the original (which doesn't exist anymore) and this version. He says he removed the edges from the cat... 
Deutsch: Eigentlich sollte dieses Bild ein Bild zu Half-Life² werden, allerdings hab ich nirgends die Half-Life-Schriftart gefunden so hab ich mir gedacht - mach halt eins anlässlich des Release von Halo². Die Basis bilden ein offizielles Wallpaper von Bungie und die offizielle Logo-Schriftart. Bis auf die Probleme der Lesbarkeit (die allerdings auf dem dunklen Forenhintergrund glücklicherweise durch den Kontrast nicht so stark waren) ist es ein sehr gelungenes und halbwegs professionell wirkendes Bild. English: The plan was to make a picture based on Half-Life² but I couldn't find the Half-Life-font anywhere so I made one for the release of Halo². The basis are an official wallpaper from Bungie and the official logo-font. Except of the little problem with the readability (which wasn't so evident due to the dark background of the forum), the picture looks good and slightly professionel. 
Deutsch: Keine Woche nach der Calvin & Hobbes-Signatur entstand zum Start der vierten Staffel von Star Trek: Enterprise dieses schlichte aber gelungene Bild. Zwar konnte ich den Originalhintergrund aus dem Intro nicht verwenden aber dafür hab ich dieses klasse Bild der Erde gefunden welches dieselbe Wirkung erzielt. English: For the start of the fourth season of Star Trek: Enterprise this simple but felicitous picture was made - less than a week after the Calvin & Hobbes-signature. Also I couldn't use the original background from the intro, I found this great picture of Earth which has the same impact on the viewer. 
Deutsch: Das ist eines der wenigen Sig-Bilder bislang die nicht aufgrund eines 'aktuellen' Themas entstanden sind. Es hat allerdings trotzdem einen 'aktuellen' Hintergrund: Ich hatte es in einem Thread im AreaDVD-Forum angekündigt das ich als nächstes eine Calvin & Hobbes-basierende-Sig erstellen würde - und das war das sehr gute Ergebnis. Hier taucht auch das erste Mal 'Sicarius' auf. English: This one of the few signatures that were not made because of a current topic. But of course it still had a current background: I had announced that I would make a signature based on Calvin & Hobbes next in a thread on the AreaDVD-forums - and this is the outcome of this announcement. This is also the first picture in which my official nick "Sicarius" appears. 
Deutsch: Zum Release von Evil Genius hab ich dieses zweideutige Bild gemacht. Leider hab ich die Schriftart des Logos nicht gefunden und hab deshalb eine genommen, die halbwegs zum Thema passte. Und es sieht gut aus (nicht nur aus meiner Sicht - gibt auch andere Leute die das sagen :) ). Persönlich find ich nur das s/w-Mischmasch etwas misslungen. Es passt zwar zum Flair des Bilds aber ist doch eigentlich nur unschönes Mittel zum Zweck. English: For the release of the game Evil Genius I made this dubious signature. Sadly I couldn't find the original font of the game so I had to use one that captured the feel of the picture. And it looks good (not only from my point of view - even other people say that :) ). Personally I find the black/white-mix not very appealing. It adds to the flair of the signature but it is just an ugly means to an end. 
Deutsch: Anlässlich der Star Wars-Week (Release der DVD-Box und Star Wars Battlefront und meiner dazugehörigen Besessenheit den Star Wars-Soundtrack dauernd zu hören) entstand dieses Pic. Die Idee war meinen Nick im Star Wars-Schriftzug vor dem Original-Star Wars-Intro-Hintergrund zu zeigen. Leider ist der Hintergrund so dunkel das man auf dem Endergebnis die Sterne nicht wirklich gut sieht. Aber dennoch ist das Bild besser als die vorherigen zwei. Es sieht einigermaßen gut aus, es steckt 'Kreativität' dahinter und es hat dieses Mal einen richtigen Bezug zwischen Nick & dem Thema. Wie es erstellt wurde dürfte eigentlich klar sein :). English: This signature was made to celebrate the Star Wars-Week (Release of the Original Trilogy on DVD and the game Star Wars Battlefront and my obsession with the Star Wars-Soundtrack during that time). The basic idea was to put my nick in front of the classic Star Wars-background. Unfortunately the background is way to dark in the final version so you can't really see the stars very good. But still this picture is way better than the first two and it's the first signature that has my nick imitating the original source material. How exactly the picture was made, should be obvious :). 
Deutsch: Das erste Bild mit etwas mehr Mühe dahinter aber dafür hässlich wie die Nacht, wie ich jetzt im Nachhinein feststellen muss. Erstellt wurde es anlässlich des nahenden DOOM³-Release und dem dazugehörigen Forum-Threads. Nachdem ich es durchhatte, zierte das Logo noch ein Schriftzug 'Ich bin durch!'. Erstellt wurde das Bild mit dem offiziellen Logo und der DOOM-Schriftart. English: The first picture with a little more work behind it but very ugly as I have to admit now. It was made because of the upcoming Release of DOOM³ and the corresponding thread on a forum I visited daily. After I had finished the game, I added "I'm through!" to the picture. The signature was made with the official logo and the official DOOM-font. 
Deutsch: Wurde anlässlich des DVD-Release von 'Luftschlacht um England' erstellt und könnte nicht einfacher sein. Das Bild war sehr schnell fertig: Screenshot gemacht, zurechtgeschnitten, Nick drauf gepappt -> Voilà. Primitiv aber dennoch nicht ganz hässlich :). Englisch: Made as a celebration of the DVD-release of "The Battle of Britain" and couldn't be any simpler. The creation -process was very fast. I took a picture from the movie, trimed it, placed my forum-name on it and it was finished. Primitive but not at all ugly :) !
